The view of the Ramstein AB Germany Passenger Terminal and flight line, as seen from my room. It was my first visit to Ramstein since 2000 and a sea-change has taken place there due to the war effort(s)

Ramstein Inn, located just across the street from the Passenger Terminal is one of several on-base lodging facilities. All the comforts of home and an excellent staff, dedicated to serving those in military uniform as well as those who once wore it proudly and are now enjoying their retirement years and some travel

With the December 2005 closure of Rhein-Main Air Base, Ramstein AB became the new "Gateway to Europe" for thousands of travelers transiting the European theater.

At night the cabin and cargo area lighting goes green. Eyes are more receptive to green light, which gives better visual acuity at lower light levels than red light. Unlike red lighting sources green also allows for differentiation between more colors and reading printed material is easier as well.
